About Me.

/philosophy

I believe that growth stems from maintaining curiosity and I see every challenge as an opportunity to evolve, whether it’s taking on a complex design project or tackling personal fears.

I also believe that true innovation happens when diverse perspectives converge, and so, I prioritize fostering an environment where everyone feels heard and valued. I strive to empower others while staying open to learning from their unique viewpoints.
This philosophy shapes my work and guides the way I build relationships and contribute to my community.

Design has always been more than a career to me. Looking back, my path wasn't linear, but more of a meandering exploration of creativity and possibility.

At first, I was fascinated by the power of persuasive communication, I wanted to become a lawyer. I also loved sketching and painting, which lead me to an infatuation with fashion design—imagining myself crafting beautiful clothing that could tell stories.

The real turning point came unexpectedly. I'll never forget the moment I first saw a Garage Band app using a MacBook to create music. Suddenly, I was inspired by a whole new world: creating digital experiences that could connect, inspire, and transform. I wanted to learn how to design those!

My academic journey was equally exploratory. I studied Intercultural Communications, which might seem worlds apart from design. But in retrospect, it was the perfect foundation, teaching me how to understand and communicate across different contexts and perspectives. When I moved to the United States, I studied New Media Arts in Hawaii. It was there that my design dreams began to crystallize. An internship at a startup accelerator became my gateway into the design world and gradually transformed into a career.

Now, looking back, I realize that my journey was a carefully choreographed dance. Each experience, each unexpected turn, was preparing me for where I am today.

/outside of work

I've always believed in pushing beyond my comfort zone. Heights used to terrify me. So, I decided to confront it head-on, transforming anxiety into adventure. I started with hiking, followed by rock climbing, and as the ultimate test—skydiving.

Reflecting on my childhood—a time marked by struggles with stamina—I've found a particularly sweet victory in long-distance running and completing multiple half-marathons. I believe that spirit of continuous exploration has become my most valuable tool, both in my career and life.
